Rant on diagnosing others

Putting on my staff hat

I am going to suggest that 6 pages of discussing @Dana1010 ‘s core beliefs and/or cognitive distortions in a 10 page thread started by someone else on a different topic is more enough.

@DharmaGirl Please use Contact Us If you’d like staff to move the existing tangent into a different thread.

Please start a different thread if anyone wishes to continue that conversation.

@Friday - I wanted to jump in with this because I think it fits here as part of the discussion? If not you can delete or move me....

@PURUSHA -- I think you may have deactivated your account but I'll leave this here for when you come back. I'm afraid you got lost in the bruhaha, but I wanted to make sure you saw this... I think you are doing an amazing job working towards who you are vs what you are diagnosed with.

If I am honest,
Yes-- you are honest. And that shows an incredible person who wants to do better -- just like all of us do
It is a long journey and I do struggle a lot.
Yep -- you struggle. But you are struggling to improve who you are as a person. That says it all
Purusha recognizes her issues and is working to overcome them, are we supposed to just ostracize her because she was diagnosed with that disorder? **** you do realize she also has ptsd right?
Remember this..... You are Purusha with a diagnosis -- not a diagnosis named Purusha
You should be congratulating Purusha on moving on from her past, being super honest, being brave with sharing about it and difficulties she has relating...
congratulations Purusha -- for all the hard work you are doing

It's unfortunate this conversation may have caused @PURUSHA to deactivate. I wanted to hear more from her about the disorder. We're all anonymous here, and all voices, even, or perhaps especially, those infrequently heard, contribute to greater comprehension of a subject.

Perhaps the site could let her join with a new name?

I might also add that this is one reason the "anonymous" forum was great for sensitive stuff. Please, please bring it back.

Wow, @Dana1010. The generalization and flat-out misinformation you've brought to this thread is just stunning.
If someone manipulates and degrades, I would consider that abusive. Perhaps some people here have a limited definition of abuse, is what the problem is.
Do you see that this is what you yourself are doing? If you do see it, why are you choosing to continue to express yourself this way on this forum, over and over again?
experts who actually study psychopaths would be rolling on the floor laughing at what you've done with the criteria. It's just not how they mean it...I've read several books on psychopathy, and I'm related to one.
Obviously, this qualifies you as the expert in the room....

If you had wanted to hear more from this member, perhaps you would have asked to hear more. Or, perhaps you would have found a way to empathize with other voices in this thread.

You were one of the members who actively made the anonymous forum a shit-show. Of course you'd like it back.

Sorry @Dana1010 - we're done here.
