I am ok but this really happened.
A Lyft driver charged at me and I had to yell . I was at the hotel we were in and he couldn’t find us and was yelling at me to go outside. I had a bad feeling and of course didn’t want to leave valet/registration! So I told him calmly where I was (at the normal spot where taxis/cars drive in and out.). He started yelling at me to calm down and then hung up on me, so I thought he wasn’t coming to get us (Lyft app said he was there but he wasn’t, and the countdown was almost done saying he was leaving but he wasn’t there. ) so I called an Uber. It is confusing there, but also I knew I was calm and he was scaring me by yelling at me about where I was and yelling over and over to calm down when I was just trying to explain where I was and wasn’t upset or raising my voice.. I got really dizzy and shaky.
Then he pulled up and I was surprised because I had thought he decided not to get us. He got out of his car and was angry and yelling and walking up to me very fast with his hands out like he was going to grab me and I got that feeling like I was behind glass and couldn’t move and and when he was inches away I yelled “don’t touch me” really loudly. I really feel like I was watching myself move, and not controlling myself. He looked like he was on meth, and I felt like my instinct was right to be scared when he yelled at me on the phone, but now he was yelling at me and I was shaking and then the valet came over and so he got in his car and drove away, but drove within inches of us. I have had fear of getting in cabs/Lyft/Uber, and so maybe overreacted, but it happened really fast and I didn’t feel like I had any control over my reaction once he was there and yelling at me and coming up to me and my two little kids so fast. I was shaking and got myself and my kids in the Uber when it showed up and to the airport and was ok.
Am I making all these things happen to me?
I feel ok and hoping things will settle down more now or soon. Thank you for reading this.
