Help Mucinex nightmare

I started taking Mucinex for 5 days then realized it was giving me anxiety, fear, restlessness, and can't sleep, I stopped taking it now but I am waiting for this to get out of my system.
How long will it take to get out of my system and for me to stop feeling this way ????

The best person to ask about the medication’s half life etc is probably your pharmacist, preferably the one that issued it to you. They’re a surprisingly helpful font of knowledge sometimes, and their information on medications tends to be broad and very accurate.

Mucinex is just guaifenesin (but not always - check the 'active ingredients' packet to confirm this, sometimes cough meds mix-and-match, but Mucinex is primarily concerned with guaf), which has a half-life of around 5 hours. The worst it'll do to you is make you nauseated - guaf is a pretty safe med, even in high doses. If your Mucinex has other active ingredients like dextromethorphan, the half-life is anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours depending on your individual metabolic rate. Again, pretty safe drug. By tomorrow it'll be cleared out of your system.
