It is actually a flying squirrel which is a big deal to us because their rare as hens teeth in these here parts.

By the way your pic's are super amazing.

We only have the black, grey and reds in this area. I had some living in my attic for a while but I had the hole plugged up so they can't get in again. That's my little house in my av.

I just looked to see if we had flying ones in Ontario and there are some about an a hour and half west of me.

I love great blue herons

If we had them here I think the twitchers would be out in force! LOL

We get grey herons here which are very common but sometimes we get purple or night herons but they are rare.

I posted that before I finished the sentence but couldn't change it afterwards. I meant to say it was also taken at the local mum flower show.

We get the black crowned night herons here and the great blue and the green herons.

I just Googled them Sandra, they look amazing. This is a picture i took at a local nature reserve; it is of a Bitten which are not easy to see in the UK. They are still endangered but are making a good come back. They are shy and elusive but this one walked right out in front of the hide. It's not very well focused but it is there!
