OK, it is time for KP to retake control of her life.

I am more or less managing my PTSD so it is time to tackle other health issues.

I have put so much weight on over the last 2 years and I was fat (let's not mince words) before that. However I now feel at the stage where I can tackle both my weight and fitness.

It is very early days, in fact it is day 3, but if I commit it to writing on the forum, I will stick with it. So far this week I have been eating healthier, smaller portions and I have not drank any alcohol. I would usually drink up to 4 glasses of wine each night.

I will not become a fanatic, I will just be sensible. I am also walking the dogs more.

If anyone would like to join me............

Wish me luck

I can tackle both my weight and fitness.

Go for it KP, enjoy, reap the benefits and keep us filled in.

Btw, I may even join you here soon, if I decide that I too can commit to an all-around fitness decision, then I will and I'll let you know. Like you, the goal wouldn't be that I become fanatical about such either, (if I do commit as well) yet since I do value hard work and effort, if I can decide upon this commitment, I'll join.

If I can successfully clean and maintain this entire house, (paperwork and all) and sometimes yard, top to bottom, which I tackle nearly every day, with the simplicity of just one little step at a time, one right after the other, then I can do likewise with fitness. So I may join you but, I'll need to let go of dreams of an orderly home.

Again, You go for it KP, enjoy, reap the benefits and keep us filled in.

Hope

Way to go Kp, proud of you for making little changes, you are doing fab. I keep trying but falling off the eating wagon so i may well join you from tomorrow, maybe there is a way we can motivate each other on here. Walking is great place to start gentle and easy on the joints. I trying this week to get the exercise routine going and stick at it this time but its no use without the eating. Don't forget it will be treat day on 15th.

YES

I do a 3 mile walk (death march) with my husband four times per week. I'm still fat. My hamstrings are sore and tight from walking. Trying to add stretching.

Breakfast: one boiled egg, toast with jam, cereal and yogurt

Lunch: don't eat lunch--drink water

Dinner: I make dinner every night. Small portions and no seconds.

Occasionally: one doughnut, one scoop of ice cream, one or ten cookies, various baked goods.

Way to go KP!

I do a lot of walking but if H isn't around I do tend to give up. On the other hand, I'm quite careful with what I eat but go to bits when H is there! He has such a sweet tooth and likes his treats - as many as he can get! and I give in when he is around.

I think I'll be joining you KP! If it gets difficult for you you could always swap place with the dog!!...
