I was just looking at the cute picture thread and when the white tigers came up, I remembered that I still continue to cross stitch a poster size white tigers cross stitch for my children, even if they are not with me. One day they will see that I didn't give up hope and the picture framed on the wall for them, knowing I never for a second forgot about them!!

Thank you for sharing your hobby...

Recently came across some amazing textile related artwork, including cross stitch, embroidery, custom dying, and quilting type stuff. Textile art seems rich and diversified. Excellent examples and places to post pics of your work, if you so choose, on the web, of course. Have you seen the blog, Judy's Journal ?

Anyway, thanks again for sharing and I hope you continue to enjoy your hobby!

I have done some cross stitch but mostly needlepoint I did years ago. Here is one of the Westminster Abbey in needlepoint. I forgot what the count was but the pic size is about 16X20. Here is a pic of it.

I have done a lot of other crafts especially Christmas decorations. But I just don't have the ambition to do them anymore. :(

Thank you Marie E. I think it took me 7 weeks to make it. I made in the early 80s. My eyes aren't as good now so I don't make things like that anymore.

Marie, Cross stitch is something I would like to try...is it hard to learn?

When first starting out I don't recommend doing counted cross stitch. I would suggest getting a painted canvas with the pic already on it. As for the learning of it. It's very simple.

The stitch is an X.

You just have to be Patient as a must as it is frustrating at first. But it is fun!! I have many I made, an angel cat pillow, a woman in a wedding gown, bears, etc. I have a dragon cross stitch on my entertainment center that guys love lmao!
