I use my Spirituality and beliefs to cope with what 'life' has thrown at me. Growing up in a minister's home taught me a lot, and not all of it good. Lots of 'should nots' and 'do nots', and yes, I was 'taught' very subtley to judge others'. Not now, nor in the future will I judge other's on their belief system.
I've had a hard time as a adult, trying not to speak religious 'jargon' or rhetoric, but instead speaking from my heart and personal experiences. My belief system is my own, and everyone has that 'right'. When I share my faith, it is from my own experience, but I never discount anyone else's belief system. My beliefs of having hope about a 'Higher Power' helps me feel better as well as sometimes helping other's feel better about the unknowns of the future. As long as people share , but not force, their beliefs, we can help each other, or at least offer a different point of view.
I try really, really hard not to judge others', because no one has that right. I have been judged for sure because of my multi-marriages, and my 'rebellion' against rituals. But, when it's all said and done, it's a personal decision which should be honored and respected.
Great reminder for us all.
