I just got a notification that I have been a member here for one year. What a year. In that time I have gone from being recommended for assessment, to being assessed, to diagnosis, to starting medications and treatments. This site has helped me ALLOT, walking me through each step, helping me find resources and explaining things in such a way that even I, a Combat Arms Soldier, could understand. But most importantly, it has shown me that I am not alone. My symptoms and normal for someone who has experienced any severe thrauma. No matter how we got here, our symptoms are the same.
I haven't posted in a long time. It's not that I have forgotten you all. I still have allot to learn, and along way to go to get back to normal. I know I should be participating and adding my experience to help others, but I have found that I have issues dealing with the conflict that ocasionally arises. I have spent more time on the Combat PTSD Site lately, because I can relate better, and people there understand where I'm coming from.
Having said that, this site has given me allot of hope, and I thank you all for being behind me pushing to get me through this year. Congradulations to Anthony, Nicolette, and all the Mods for creating and maintaining a site where people can learn and start the healing.
It's a new day.
