I would love to but at the moment legal stuff is playing too heavy on our minds for hubby to even think about it.

Maybe when this is finished with we could join in some thing somewhere.

Hi, Sorry to hear that Amethist. I hope its quick at least! So you can both get some relief.
I think it might be quite nice to have a meet up once a season. Maybe go and do an activity occasionally. seeing Cherryblossom play would be good. I love brass music, we have weekly concerts in our parks over summer.

Maybe in Spring you'll be free of the legal stuff. Fingers Crossed.

I'm from UK. I think it would be good to have a winter get together if others are interested?
Hi Meadowsweet,

I'm glad your interested. I've only been on the forum since July I think and it's been such a relief for me. I was thinking how nice it would be to have a meet up in each season. Anyway, I'm notorious for geting excited and a bit ahead of myself.

So, this winter.....Do you reckon end of November or January/February?

How did the meeting back in March go?

Springer the above like has the March and other meetings.

Should we meet in Birmingham again. We could go back to Cafe Rouge as they were so accommodating. Birmingham is good as the railway station is easy to get to for a lot of people.

H and I will come.

Maybe February which will get Christmas and the sales out of the way.

Hi KP, Birmingham is good for me if that was what worked best for most people last time.Manchester would also be an option?

I was a little slow in responding because I suppose I was hoping to have the meeting not so far away but it does make sense, financially especially. Novembers and January's pay is going to be demolished.

So February it is then. Sorry if I sound a little deflated it's just those damn practicalities getting in the way of my enthusiasm again!

How do these things usually get promoted on the site? Do we put up a separate thread?

Usually Springer it gets advertised in the Local Events section.

You can have a look at the previous events here:

Also check out KP's link above as that shows us all having a good time and here is a link to KP's thread in Chit Chat about the York Picnic - enjoy!

CC and I are going to try and meet at Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port. If you could get there you'd be welcome to join us. Probably sometime in November, after the schools half term.
