Site Revamp - If You Could Change One Thing?

I'm working on a revamp for this site. That includes many facets, way too much to explain in detail, as the changes are design and feature extensive. The entire concept is to simplify the site as much as possible based on established and proven web concepts.

So... if you could change just one (1) thing at MyPTSD, what would you change?

Personally I hate that it's so easy to accidentally click on the Facebook, twitter icons etc. For me it's just something I've almost accidentally clicked a few times and shared to my Facebook page, which I would prefer not to as I lose the anonymity I get here.

But I can imagine that could be a tricky issue to deal with.

Larger icons when trying to quote someone else's post, like etc. I use a tablet, and unless I enlarge the screen I cannot always hit the right icon.

And it would help those of us who are getting older and have to squint at the screen even with our glasses on.

I really can't think of anything major.

I just wish all of our personal preferences/upgrades/etc (as seen in our profiles) were available across all platforms. I've only noticed this with the username change function (which isn't available on tablet or mobile versions). I thought the function disappeared after checking it on mobile (wasn't there), then on tablet (wasn't there).....but was finally able to access it on my laptop. I haven't checked through all of the functions to see if others are only available on desktop, too.

Space for larger documents, which is probably asking a lot because of the expense, but I dunno. Thanks for asking.

Room for more than 10 conversations in a mailbox. Not a huge issue, but it would be nice. Like @WillyKat says, thanks for asking.

Instead of the "search this forum only" check box, I would prefer a drop-down menu with "all" at the top and then the forums listed in order.

I've been holding onto that one awhile... :bag:

Apparently there is a way to do this (?), but I haven't figured it out. [member hat] How do you change the MotD on mobile? ([mod hat] This isn't the help desk!) If you can't, is that in the cards for the future?

Just checked my iPhone, and I can access them all. There is a "your account" tab that appears on mobiles in portrait that you touch for the menu to dropdown. Landscape shows the account pages as seen on a desktop.

Additional upgrades will fix this issue. They are planned.

You have such a thing on the full search page. Don't confused advanced search with simple search in opportune areas for ease of use.

The one thing I'm playing around with is already possible via the bookmarks, it's simply a bit cumbersome. Essentially, I'm trying to have 3 diaries up & running... ET in prem private, modern stuff in members only, and then a diary of useful posts by category via the bookmarks feature. It's already completely possible. It's simply a bit awkward; as it lists instead of tiles, and I can't rearrange the posting order so I cannot structure them as makes sense to me... Yet. ((I'm working on subcats or numbering the names. But I get distracted :P)).

The format in my head is the same used in photo programs or word/pages where one can stack / order / move things about, probably as I use both of those programs so much.

No idea if this would be useful or wanted by anyone except me. Shrug. But it's the one thing I wish I could magic wand into place!
