@anthony ...when you are selected please do not hesitate to run a collection to assist. Most 12 step programs as well as 'causes' do so to assist the representative during high profile gatherings. Just thinking positive!:tup:

@Simply Simon, Wow, I've gone through a couple of your pieces of work and this is an honor. It looks really good. I'm going through it piece by piece, but I thought I'd start with the first paragraph. We are nominating @anthony for something, we need to be sure we KNOW who he is. So the first sentence, "so far as I know" and "I'm not sure" should be changed to a strong positive. You do know and you are sure (or at least you want to know and be sure :P), so we need to find out if he still works in web design. If he does still work at web design, great, just change the wording, if not you have to change the sentence, which I can help you with if you want.

I would not use the terms exposure therapy, even though you put it's "a type of", we don't want the APA up our ass, I would just take those 5 little words out.

I'll go through it again later today with a fresh mind :D

There's something about the last paragraph that sounds more like a fundraising pitch than a 'let's listen to this visionary dude share his insight with a wider audience' kind of thing...Not sure what the right kind of fix is, but I can work on a proposal :)

I think the last paragraph is not necessary. The second last paragraph starts off "In summation", and you really don't need two conclusions. Other than the anecdote about the support of the site members for the fund raising, I would keep the monthly goals out of it, I agree with @joeylittle that it makes it sound more like a fund raising pitch than an Anthony pitch. It is Anthony's wisdom and knowledge that you want to promote, and the impact that his work has had on the site members, which I think you have done very well in the body of your nomination. Excellent job!

@digger :hug::roflmao: & @littlelostchild :hug: Thank you for coming forward! It is important to acknowledge in kind humor & fondness of the many shades of Anthony.

@Simply Simon ...I believe that @Nicolette as a valuable supporter & that contribution should be included. This is a husband & wife team that has proven that dreams, ideals and relationships are still possible with PTSD. It is a source of hope to many of us here on the board to acknowledge that there are at least two sides in uniting this front and creating change. I think PTSD Ted Talks might benefit many with the 'package' of PTSD and the effects across the board.

For example the AA Step Program and the co-existing Al-anon was originally the dream of a husband and wife team. Two sides of the same coin. I am using what I know ...please be kind to my example...I know it is full of holes. Just trying to explain.

I'm not sure on this @Simply Simon, I can't decide one way or another so I'm throwing it out there to see what you think. You want them to see credibility and stability, in the person requesting the nominee for such a prestigious award especially, you don't state you have suicidal and self-destructive behaviors, even though you still being alive is the epitome of strength; they may not see it that way. So, just stating the website has saved your life may be enough.

Although this would be ideal, I think that having just Anthony as the primary may simplify things. Of course, when he wins, I'd expect him to say something like, "I couldn't have done this without my beautiful wife" :)
