Isn't this an oxymoron though? People arming themselves for the next ??? with guns. How does that fix the problem when it happens? Is it not better to have people band together to fix the disaster than to take up arms against one another, hindering correcting the issue?
Another good point. However, if and when modern society breaks down, much of humanity will resort to destructive, primitive, & basic reptilian thinking. It would be great if people would try to maintain some form of civility, but many will be in desperate need of water, food, toiletries, drugs, etc, and will resort to violent means to acquire those things. Money will be rendered meaningless, and lawlessness and violence will reign supreme.

That's true. I meant cash money, as in government printed currency. Yes, basic, everyday supplies would be the new "money". But remember that not everyone lives by the golden rule, and would much rather take all of your things by force, than honestly trade you for a few items.
True. I hope that, if such an unfortunate thing ever happens, that people can still be civil. If not, be prepared to pepper their salty asses with some double odd.
