I have 4 children and can't imagine not knowing where one of them was or with whom. I would def ask que...

I think these were different times, neighborhood children were supposed to keep an eye on each other. I made sure nobody in my family noticed something strange about me. I didn't tell anyone and when someone asked where I'd been I just answered 'playing with the other kids'. Why I did not want to tell mu parents is a mystery, but apparently I had found out at a very young age that that would not help. Why I don't know.
