My latest T diagnosed me with severe D.I.D and Asperger's. Of course PTSD as well. Any advice on living with DID and managing it? I know it is difficult but I just hope to hear advice from ppl who also live with DID and how they live with it and such. I am not recommended to work. Anyone else been told to stay away from work until a while into treatment?

Do you happen to know how do D.I.D. and Asperger's interplay for you?

And your PTSD?

As in how do you-in-various-selves react to different sensory perception, social issues, soothing, needed routines for functioning? In my experience knowing how you function and what you need to function at all can be a good start, before you start on any trauma work, or D.I.D. integrative work respectively. Know how to stabilize and stay stable, work with the unstable & hard to predict schtuff later.

I haven't been able to work or study the problem is when I switch the other personalities sabotage and quit.
I wish I had the answers for how to manage this DID thing, communication between alters is crucial. Although it takes time to "get things together" especially if you don't have really good therapist/ Therapist specialised in DID. I don't have. I had therapy once but she wasn't DID specialist.
