News Bernie Sanders

I don't support either party. I believe in voting based on principals, ideas, beliefs, and I have thus voted for whichever candidate aligns with my best understanding and belief of what our country needs at the time.

I have long been a big fan of third parties, and as the GOP slowly destroys itself, I am hopeful this will create even more room for a third-party candidate.

I definitely support Bernie over Clinton or Trump. It may be too late for Bernie to run as an independent candidate. Both parties require the candidates to make an agreement that they will not run as an independent though in order to let them run for the nomination. Bernie has indeed made this promise: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/bernie-sanders-independent_us_55ba86e7e4b06363d5a1742b The parties require this because they don't want to lend their power to someone who will later challenge it by running as a third party candidate.
But Canada is better, TBH. *runs*
Wait for me! *tries to run to Canada to watch the rest of this messy election year from a safe distance*

Clintons delegate lead over Bernie is much larger than any delegate lead that Obama held over Clinton. It will be very difficult for him to statistically overcome the deficit (as she will continue to add delegates along the way, too)

Interesting read the other day (msnbc? Can't keep my news feeds straight!) As a voter in a late primary state, I feel insignificant. How can my vote possibly make a difference for Bernie with the delegate count as it stands? I mean it feels like the last quarter of the country (on the dem side) is just voting for show.

Regardless, I hope he continues to fight the good fight.

Bernie just won Alaska -- yaay! I don't think he will end up being the candidate, but I am glad he is running because he is forcing Hillary to the left, where she needs to be!

Apparently superdelegates only function as a tiebreaker...I am given to understand. The pledged delegates are the ones who matter, if Bernie actually wins the first count, he wins?

But anyway, really just came to set this little thing down right here...

Guys, I love Sanders, but I truly, truly hope and pray that if it comes down to Hillary and Trump that you all vote for Hillary. At least she is not a sociopath. And history has shown that our country does better with a Democratic president than a Republican one (at least the 99% do). Especially with how extremist Republicans are now. We could lose tons of rights if Trump is elected. Not to mention being the laughing stock of the world. It's a hard truth, but if you vote for a third-party candidate in this country, you are wasting your vote and possibly enabling the election of the worse person.

My vote is solidly for the democratic candidate.

If it's Hillary, enough Sanders throw a temper tantrum by not voting and the GOP candidate gets in as a result, I can honestly say that I would view these political drop out temper tantrum hissy fit people in the same light that I see those who vote for the GOP candidate. Maybe that sounds harsh but IMHO many are blind to the larger picture and will only support exactly what they want, negating the fact that some is better than none.

"If I can't get everything that I want, I QUIT!"

Mature, very mature.
