Looking for book recommendations about healthy relationships

Hi everyone,

I am looking for any suggestions of books to read with a partner about healthy relationships. Especially anything with exercises to do.

For some context, we both really struggle with identifying and putting words on our emotions. My partner struggles with boundaries (e.g. believes 'my problem is yours to fix, and that's love') and with emotional regulation. I read a book about healthy relationships years ago (after a break up with someone else) which has given me 100% of my information about what a healthy relationship is, but I can no longer remember the name of it.

I don't want to just lecture her and ask her to take my word for it about what a healthy relationship is (based on a book I can't identify!) I would like to instead suggest that we find something external we can work on and learn from, together.

Have any of you come across anything like this, or done something like this yourselves?

One of the best things about it, aside from over 30 years clinical & research experience… is that it’s not a “one style fits most no one” pop-psych communication-is-key nonsense. Communication IS a factor, but a grunt of acknowledgment can be deeply meaningful/connecting in one relationship, meanwhile hours of “when you I feel” is just narcissistic/self-centered/ dismissive/ insulting/ deathknell, in another.
