Just throwing the following dx's out: MDD, GAD, Borderline personality, Ptsd and DID. That being said, in the 10 years of being in active MH treatment, has it really helped? Yes. I wouldn't be typing this if not. Yes, I had 2.5 years of DBT training (plus individual DBT focused therapy. Yes, more knowledge about how we operate although extremely private about it. Yes, more compassion towards others who struggle. Etc.
No, I acquired more damming dx's. No, up until 1.5 years ago when given the DID dx, I thought everyone operates this way. Wrong. No, only 10 yrs of the 38 yrs has been properly documented, and the same reoccurring themes. No, possibly maybe but (we) discovered uncharted territory.
I have a lot of difficulty following my appts because at times I can either be a total other part or have dual awareness. Putting it out there but at times I feel there is never enough time for everything and everyone. After leaving, the parts are known to be extra chatty, battling/arguing with each other ultimately giving into the angry part. I go to my T 2x a week and together she said we'd work together. But in the meantime, horrible things are being said to some parts, triggers are at the all time high all while juggling full time work, parenting, etc and how can I possibly help myself's at the same time?? I'm complex, slow at learning, need repetition, forgetful, scattered. Urgh, why. That's the ultimate question, why?
