1991 Gulf War Vet

I served withe us USN Seabees as a heavy equipment op in Saudia Arabia (Aljubail) not sure why I am here. I am just looking for some help. other than what the dr at the VA confirmed today from my primary psych. schizophrenia, Bipolar, anxiety disorder and PTSD. dont know why I feel this way, wish there was a quick fix. been dealing with it for over 20 years and cant find relief.

Just curious, Did you see combat? Most Seabee's wouldn't be exposed to it. I am just curious. Just like most infantrymen cant operate a dozer or any heavy equipment.

Welcome to the forum. So your a veteran and have PTSD well you have come to the right place. I would echo what Red has asked.

Did the psych at the VA elude to what your PTSD is attributed to?

If I can chime in. Our Heavy Junk was kept pretty active during the land war of Desert Storm. They used whatever they could to shove disabled Iraqi vehicles off the highway of death, so we could continue the push.

Welcome Sailor! HEO's in my unit in VN were invaluable. We had two EO's in our combat stevedore unit (CHB 2) in Danang in the dark ages. Your in the mist of some very knowledgeable Vets on this forum about PTSD and the issues that are part of the packaged deal.

Your not alone - we all asked that very same question at one time or another. Don' be afraid to ask questions and read the posts.

The 7th Armored Brigade rat patch is the original Desert Rats originally used by the 8th Army North Africa WW2 my Grandfather wore the same patch.
