I was with the Cav in Quang Tri and Tay Ninh April 68-69. I flew Slicks, Command and Control and Scouts. Never even knew that I had PTSD until I went back to Nam on a short term mission trip. Then the flashbacks started like a flood. It took me two years after that to wade through the piles of garbage I had shoved down inside. The process of writing about it (Vietnam Redemption...Full Circle available on Amazon) plus a second trip back where I met with many VC and NVA soldiers helped me to move beyond the pain and dysfunction and into healing. Looks like this is a good site and I hope to contribute in the days ahead.

Welcome Joe,

We're known here affectionately as the "ol' Nam Farts" - pull up a chair.

Looks like this is a good site and I hope to contribute in the days ahead.

We look forward to whatever you would like to share - in the mean time feel free to browse about and ask questions.

Uhmm, April 68 - just in time for Tet that sucked! Good to see that you're pulling it together it took me 40+years before the light went on and sought some help.
