What I Don't Want For Christmas

1. any of my new friends here to feel lonely, sad, anxious, angry, confused, fearful, tearful or bewildered for more than a passing moment - this hoilday season.

Much love to All ~ Grainne

Medic,

Feel free to send me your chocolates. I promise to share them with 2Quilt.

I'll probably be here Christmas eve...hubby has to work.

What I don't want:

Anything coconut!

Emergency phone calls requiring hubby to go out.

Puking.

The inevitable "Is that all?" after gift opening.

I must address one of you guys personlly here in this thread. Nicky31!!!!!!

Have you lost your mind??? No diamonds???? OMG, must be a genetic defect of some kind.

3. Running shoes or high-heeled shoes since I use a wheelchair.

I know just how you feel with this one! I am totally deafblind and every year at least one person gives me something totally useless. :naughty:

I'll pass on the following:

1) Any "cool" gadget that lights up.
2) Any "cool" gadget that makes noises.
3) Print calendars, print books, print anything.

:wall:

While I'm at it, I'll also pass on the following:

4) PTSD flare ups,
5) Being left out of conversation for long periods of time.
6) Being left out of activities.

Get me something useful like a mug for coffee or some chocolates I can eat! Coffee and chocolate is a sure way to make Fennel a happy camper.

Fennel

1. too much chatty chaos
2. my puppy to eat the presents
3. my puppy to eat the tree
4. a whole bunch of religious crap (from my step-dad)
5. every single one of my presents being a giftcard

My Gall bladder to play up, so I will not eat all the gateaux covered in cream.

My husband to sleep all day.

My mum to call and upset things with her acid comments, (not that she will call).

Hubby's mum to call, being all nostalgic and in floods of tears, because she did not get what she wanted for Christmas from his dad.

Nicky if you do get Diamonds, I could take them of your hands .

1. To feel alone
2. To not have the internet working
3. Chocolates
4. For it to not snow on Christmas (I REALLY want a white Christmas... that'd be cool!)
5. To be hassled by the police
6. To get sick

That's really all I can think of. This Christmas is going to be a GREAT Christmas. I have no idea what I am doing, but it will be great. I have tons of cool new friends I may be able to do something with, if not then I plan to stay in and watch Christmas movies on tv all day and just allow myself a day to relax and veg out!

I had hoped that my husband's bigoted, redneck, hillbilly family WOULDN'T use the get together as an excuse to vent their view on how everyone who isn't like them is scum, dirty, lazy, etc. Hope is good. Hope was dashed...but still good. I keep reminding myself that when they die they take their vomit-inducing racism with them.

There's always next year. Oh boy!!!

So did everyone manage to NOT get what they didn't want for Christmas? I'm so happy that I did! My therapist talked to me a few times on the phone, and I spent the day hanging out watching movies with a friend, so definitely didn't feel alone :) And there was still snow on the ground that day, though it looked like it wasn't going to snow... until a little before midnight, when it started snowing! I was SO thrilled that it snowed for me on Christmas! It made it the best day ever!
