Hi samsara,
This dream is a little difficult to understand, so I have some questions to clarify a few details.
Who where you sending the messages to when you were dreaming? If it is BB is that your boyfriend or a friend?

Is this your dream, or your boyfriend's dream?
When you woke up was it because he was texting you while awake or was he sending a text while you were still dreaming?

BTW do either one of you work in a restaurant around that type of dishwasher?

Do you text message this person a lot? Can you send an icon or an avatar through text messaging? I don't text message so I have no clue.

Sorry I just want to get a clear picture of what is going on before I read into it.

BB is the love of my life. He is working as a chef in Canada, I am in Australia. BB also has PTSD. We have been physically apart for 3 years and are due to reunite in 6 weeks time, when he is due to immigrate to Australia.

When you woke up was it because he was texting you while awake or was he sending a text while you were still dreaming? He was sending me a text while I was still dreaming, I heard the noise and it kind of roused me and then I woke up and read it a little bit later.

Um, no. I have a dishwasher. He is a chef in two different restaurants every day. He's working hard to save money to get here. The count down has begun before we finally see each other in 45 days.

Wow, Seeking Nirvana, that was a very interesting dream interpretation! I've had a couple dreams about people dying/losing people lately and one of those people being someone random from my past, it makes sense. My therapist decided the dreams were just my fear of losing people lately, but I like your ideas much better and they make more sense.

Hello, here is Nightmare #2

I was with strangers in my old Pompano Beach apartment, the entire nightmare took place from one single vantage point: me looking into one corner of the apartment from which I could see both big windows on both sides of the wall. There were 2 people on their knees on the floor and I was holding a gun to their heads, except the guns were plastic toy guns that when fired, only went "click, click, click" - there was no pop like a regular gun. But, the toy guns had real bullets, I know there were real bullets because I loaded the toy guns with them. Someone else was in the room with me (besides the two people on their knees who I don't know) and I don't know how this other person is either, but it seems that me and this other person are talking about how we are going to kill the two on the floor. I held the gun to their temples and pulled the trigger, the gun when "click" and left a hole in their head with only a red mark where the bullet went in, but no blood came out. They weren't dead but everyone (including the police) thought that they were. I saw the police pull up outside through the windows and I started panicking. It was like the people I shot were dead, but I thought they were alive because they were now "walking dead people". They were still talking, but I don't know about what. As they were talking I kept thinking to myself "they are alive, but I'm going to jail because the police think they are dead" - Then I woke up.

ugh, I'm almost disgusted reading these nightmares, they are so violent and I don't understand why.

linasmom, how did you feel when you shot the two people?

Perhaps the two people represent a part of yourself you are afraid to let go of (something like what Seeking Nirvana said about my dream where people possibly died) or afraid to change. Maybe you feel like you changed something but nobody else can see this change, or are mistaking it for something else, and perhaps that makes you nervous.

The guns were toys and the people didn't bleed, so my guess is that it is less about killing people and more about change.

Last night I dreamed I was at a hotel and took my 2 youngest children to the pool. We waded and the water only seemed be ankle deep. Not knowing how to swim, I left the kids and called the front desk to find out the deepest part of the pool to know how far we could wade out. They said the pool was pretty shallow but in some spots it drops 240 feet. I was terrified to go back into the pool and was telling my kids not to move. I slowly made my way back to them but was too scared to move further. We were standing in middle of the pool and I was terrified to move in any direction. I was screamikng "don't move!". Then I woke up.

My other dream last night was really crazy. My Aunt from Colorado called and told me I was pregnant, but it was not my baby; it was hers. I can't have any more children so I was very confused. She can't have children either. She said she had gotten pregnant and her body could not handle the baby so she wanted me to carry the baby to term and give to her.

I told her that was impossible, then I looked down and saw I had a huge belly. The doctor told me I was 6 months pregnant but the baby needed to be resituated. He was not sure how it got in such an unusual position.

I was calling everyone in the world and trying to begging my husband to seek help. He just kept saying it was my aunt's baby. I was terrified to be suddenly pregnant and then giving the baby away. My biggest concern was that people were going to see me pregnant and then ask to see the baby. How was I going to explain it was not mine? Finally I called my mom crying. (In real life I do not have that type of relationship with my mom.) But in the dream she told me to have a DNA test as soon as the baby is born to decide whose baby it is. I remember thinking it is coming out of my body how could it be somebody else's baby!! Who does DNA testing to identify the MOTHER!

Then my daughter woke me up because she was thirsty. I would have liked to known the ending of that dream.

Cecilia - The dream about the pool gives me a sense of the fear of the unknown. Oddly enough, I used to be afraid to get into lakes and oceans for fear of sudden hidden holes. Have you been feeling like you want to protect your children from something? Maybe protecting yourself from something unseen? Both dreams have a sense of motherly protection/love to them.

Hi Cecilia, This is what I got from your dream but Lucky Laser made some good points to consider.

Generally water represents emotions and with them being in a pool that would indicate they are boxed in with no outlet.

It appears your "testing the waters" to see how far you will let this emotion carry you and it's the fear of it causing you to stay in a position of being stuck/immobile.

On the flip side of being stuck in fear unable to move as a child, hotels generally represent a temporary mind set, so this feeling of emotional crisis about your inner child will pass when you are ready to move forward into your healing phase.


The inner child is you at the age when you were abused or something significant happened.

Hi Cecilia, Here is your second dream.

Being pregnant generally represents ideas (most likely they relate to healing) that are ready to become ripe. It appears these ideas are to heavy of a burden for you and you want to pass it on to some one else. In other words, have some one do the work for you.

You need to re-situate your thinking in order to create this healing process, but you feel it's impossible to carry the load. Your pain is too deep and you don't want to deal with it, but you don't want anyone to steal it from you either. For some reason humans have a hard time letting go of past pain.

Your concern for how others feel about your situation is flawed thinking. Your concern should be how will you take care of yourself to insure the health of your baby, which is your NEW idea, maintain good nutrition which would represent optimistic thinking and re-situate your old thinking and habits into new and better ones so the out come is a positive idea in order to heal.

The DNA test would indicate that you need to reassure yourself that you CAN heal on your own and that you do not need some one to come and save you. No one can save you or do the work for you. You have to do it yourself, and it will be worth it!

The message your giving yourself about your boyfriend needs to be cleaned up. There are some trust issues that are causing you to feel this relationship is a game (chess) (the staff laughing on your end).

It seems you and him want a more established relationship (trinkets). The snoopy dog is not real; he is an animated character and made of glass so this relationship is on shaky ground from your point of view. Maybe at times you feel the relationship is a facade or made of glass and can be broken easily because you two don’t see each other.

The chocolate penis might be something you are craving (both individually). The chocolate may be a substitute for another addictive substance. I believe the penis represents the penis here?

You find the text messaging funny because it's cute in the sweet (chocolate) things that you say to each other (some may be about sex)

Once the two of you are together the relationship will feel more stable and less like a game. Hang in there!

Lucky Laser, dreams usually have more than one meaning so the therapist has a good point. I wouldn't discredit it, but in the same instance my meanings are just as valid. I've been doing dream interpretation for almost 4 years and I get a lot of these type of dreams and usually the dreamer agrees with my theory. However, the thought of loosing some one you love is very real and scary, but I feel it would show up in a different way (in your dreams) if that was what was really on your mind when you had those dreams.
