Anonymous Forum Implemented

It is still being worked on to determine such anonymity at this time, as it works if the software uses the basic mysql search table, however; this site uses an advanced search function, which is not secured from anonymity of the data in member profiles, hence being worked on.

The anonymous forum is currently being rebuilt from the initial add-on, instead opting towards total anonymity by using guest accounts in a specified forum, even though you must be logged in. This will remove all assignation of posts in said forum to your userid.

I'm kind of liking this idea... I guess my only fear is that people will use it to be more aggressive/attacking when they're "under cover of darkness" if you know what I mean.

I suppose it's good to be able to say what you want openly. That's what this place is all about. But also, people are still human and will get their feelings hurt if people use it as an excuse to drop their manners and be unkind.

I would not implement something that some level of staff cannot see who is posting what, for that exact reason. Anonymity is about hiding from members and the public, staff need to see who's who.

IMHO nobody should be aggressive or attacking anonymous or not, where is the point of that? The entire Forum is supposed to be about healing, nobody gets healed by being attacked regardless. [/QUOTE]

I agree with what you are saying but I am sure Anthony's response regarding having staff knowing who's saying what will sort out rude people. I am sure it will be well moderated.

I am happy that this kind of area exists and I do not think it is here exclusively for negative rants and raves, there is plenty of good stuff people would like to say, uplifting stuff that does not fit in other threads. I hope that people use it for this as well.
