I hate waking up over and over again at night sweating and holding back a scream or actually screaming. I try to go back to sleep with good happy thoughts hoping that I'll wake up normal with out a night terror, this mornings one and last nights throughout the night have me shaking pretty bad. :-(

I can relate. I had these for a long time as a child up to my teen years when I left the House of Horrors, aka, my parents home.

Turn a light on somewhere in the house. It is the only thing that used to help me. Oh, and also, watch some mindless t.v. until you feel safe enough to go back to sleep. Maybe it will help if you remember you are not alone. Pray if you believe in that, I do. Read something relaxing til you fall asleep again. See your doctor maybe for something to help knock you out so at at least you get a good rest now and then.

Remember in your heart that you aren't alone. Tons of people deal with this.

Love yourself. God bless you. I know how hard it is. Edited to add ... pray even if you don't believe in it, haha!

When mine get really bad. I write about what I am feeling. It helps get it out. Lastnight I woke up terrified. I couldn't remember my nightmare, but that is very common for me. I was also afraid of the dark and I cried for an hour. Almost every night I wake up covered in sweat. I have no idea why. I have been having a very difficult time recently. I haven't been able to figure out what is the cause of this episode.
