Men!

Wooo Hooo....I am finally having progress with the men. I took my son Josh shopping on Friday night and bought him a suit for the wedding. Tick...one under control.

Yesterday I walked past Hugo Boss and saw they had a sale on. Fantastic as all Anthony has asked for is that he gets a Hugo Boss suit for the wedding. Well, with excitement I dragged him down the shops today and whamo...20% off and the suit will be ready by Thursday...Gotta be happy with that. All I need to do know is go tie hunting as I haven't had much luck so far.

I will write about the reception tomorrow. Only on here due to Anthony confessing he had done something "special"...well, you can all read his farting thread... Men! :rolleyes:

Reception

As promised here are some of the details for the reception:

We are having a somewhat laid back affair in that, other than the bridal party, we are not nominating where people sit. We would prefer for people to sit with who they want to rather than formalise this.

The reception is in a restaurant which has been running for 20 years - it is reasonably well known and serves great food. We are keeping in line with the restaurant theme and trying to keep the menu more selective than the standard wedding choice of meat and fish or meat and chicken.

Guests will have 7 main course to choose from:

• Thai Beef Salad (main serve)
• Fish of the Day (Fish fresh from the morning markets)
• Duck Risotto
• Salt & Pepper Squid
• Soup of the Day (Something wholesome due to the wedding being in winter)
• A Vegetarian Noodle Dish (noodles, vegetables, tofu etc)
• Lamb Ball Pasta (I have the proper name of it in the car but can't be bothered going out into the cold to get it)

I am a seafood lover and I was given a taste of the Salt & Pepper Squid while we had lunch at the restuarant and had to have it added to the wedding menu. Yummy :thumbs-up

Duck Risotto
Aborio Italian Rice combined with roasted duck marinated in five spice,
with wild mushroom, spinach & duck jus

Thai Beef Salad
Thinly sliced marinated beef with mixed Asian cress, tomato, cucumber, beanshoots,
roasted nuts, finished with palm sugar & lemongrass dressing

Mee Siam
Egg Noodles, Asian vegetables, spices & tofu, topped with a fried egg & crispy shallots

Dessert

It Could Only Happen To Anthony!

Hi again. Everything has been going along smoothly and I have hardly asked much of Anthony other than to get his suit and help me decide on the main meals for the reception.

Well, this is the busiest time of the year for me with work and Anthony needed to go near to the suburb where my gorgeous gold boots were made so I asked him to drop in, pay the balance and pick up the boots. Easy enough task I thought.

I keep receipts for everything but low and behold, I couldn't find the shoe deposit one but I thought it wouldn't be a big deal as they would know I had paid.

Preston is about 10 -15 minutes drive away outside of peak hour traffic and the first thing which went wrong was my GPS sent Anthony on a wild goose chase and it took him 45 minutes to finally get to the place. Then when he got there the cobbler himself was serving and could not find details of the deposit. :eek:

What I learned....do it myself in future as when it all seems too easy something will go wrong. :crazy:Luckily Anthony didn't give me too much of a hard time. :rolleyes:

Yep...got the boots and they are gorgeous. Will try and remember to pull the camera out and take a shot....I am delighted with them and the rose gold is not as over powering as I thought.
