Anti-adblocker Now Installed

To stop people freely skirting our sites advertising with browser plugins, I have now installed an anti-adblocker program here which will give a very annoying, constant popup per page load until such time as you either:

1. disable it in your browser to view this site, or
2. upgrade your account to premium membership.

Here is the simple truth. Ads support this sites functioning, and that includes even viewing ads, as that passes statistics for how many are viewing them. Ad blockers thwart this process without paying for premium membership or supporting our sites funding via our ads. People are going to feel entitled that they have a right to view this site without ads. No arguments here, you have that right, however; I also have the same entitlement and right to do what I have to do in order to thwart such free attempts to skirt our advertising and upgrade features.

I have now done my part and my right. So before you complain to me about your sense of entitlement, think carefully that I have that same right as the administrator to do what I have to do for the best interests of the sites ability to function and self sustain, and that you are no more important, or entitled, than I am. Equality... I believe its called.

You try and skirt it, I try and thwart it, it is that simple.

This is the only site I've turned off Ad-Block for. Did it ages ago :) Much happier with the Amazon ads than the ads we used to have on here!! :)

I'm not getting any Amazon ads, nor do I have an adblocker - that I know of. Not that computers are my strong point. Unless you mean the little ads along the sidebar and in some of the posts? Not very annoying. I'm not arguing, you do what you need to do, just giving some feedback that unless I don't know what I'm talking about and someone installed an adblocker on my computer without my knowing about it, you'll have to work harder to make the ads annoying.

I'm not smart enough to know how to install ad-blocker:P. I'm glad that you found a new stream of revenue to support the site. Some of the ads are interesting. Much better than when Google kept showing me ads to learn to fly. Been there done that got the T-shirt.

Okay. Just so you know, I don't find them in the slightest annoying. So if it works to fund the site and everyone's happy, well, all is good. (I'd upgrade if I had it in the budget, but that's not happening at the moment, sorry.)

I much prefer to the premium membership because there are no ads and all is well for the both of us Anthony. I am so grateful for all you have done and provided to help me to heal and recover. I have gone through some very rough times and all I had for support was your site. Thank you.

Sheesh you got my head aching. Equality, premiums, and donations and anti -anti ad blocks. Was that like when TV was free and then they had cable that you payed for because it had no ads. Then you paid for TV and cable and then you there were ads, but you pay a lot to use it. Oh, and copyright owning all that is posted.

I know I can't afford to pay your bills. Just working out the exchange rate between American dollars to Canadian dollars to British pounds to Australian dollareedoos, gives me a headache.

Agree with @Neverthesame... can't say that I love this, but I understand it, so I'll just deal with it.
If premium membership were more in accordance with my wallet I might go for it :D But my wallet says: "no way Radise!"

By the way Anthony, I understood this when I messaged you about it.

I don't have any sense of entitlement -I simply messaged you about it, because I was surprised by the aggressiveness of the adblock -but yeah you're right you have the right to protect the best interest of the site.
