Anxiety and tachycardia/chest pain

So my anxiety/panic is pretty bad. My "resting" or sitting heart rate is pretty high for my age. The last 3 times I went to the doctor my sitting heart rate was 123, 115, and 127. My chest hurts a lot of the time, especially at the end of the day. By the end of the day, especially if I'm sleep deprived from being so anxious all the time, my chest feels like it's going to cave in sometimes. My chest started hurting the other day after my doctor took my sitting/standing/lying down bpm, and I barely did anything. I get dizzy and stuff so easily. My heart rate is high even when I don't think I'm nervous, like last time. Ahh. Doctor said I should increase my fluids until the next time I see her in 2 weeks, because I was just a little dehydrated, but if I'm still having the same problems then they're gonna give me a little heart monitor. Also I might have sleep apnea. Yay.

Anyone else tachycardic from anxiety?

Yes, quite often. Mine started after my mother died in 2010 and I remembered what my father did. He was a serial killer and a pedophile and forced me to watch him hunt, torture, and murder young boys and some adults. I had to see a cardiologist for the heart palpitations which were 175 to 220 beat per minute. They put me on a home monitor for seven days to see what was happening. Then they wanted to put me on this medication for whenever I had heart palps. I tried it but it lowered my heart rate too much. I've got a resting heart rate between 54 and 60. So going below 54 isn't a good idea. So I found a different way for me.

I do have heart trouble when my anxiety goes up. It’s partly how I can tell I’m experiencing anxiety. Your heart rate is terrible though! That is so uncomfortable! I’m sorry you are experiencing that!
It sounds like your doctor is just barely attempting to treat the symptom. It sounds like you need to find something to help with the anxiety/panic. I doubt that drinking more water is the cure. I hope you can find something that helps. I sometimes take Ativan when my anxiety is up and it helps. I’m sure others on here have many more tips about how to get anxiety and panic under control. Have you tried searching for those topics in the forum?
