Any Success With Combining Something With Welbutrin?

I started Welbutrin two months ago and have gone up to 300 mg. It is nice for the first time in over two years I have been able to read full articles, books, and watch tv and movies with focus instead of just the flash backs and crying fits. I am still incredably depressed, and it makes me really tired every morning.

I tried Prozac before the Welbutrin and it made me retain so much water I had to go to the ER. Any suggestions, mood stabilizers have just made me numb and unable to function in the past, and no one will put me back on lamictol or abilify because I had seizures.

I really need some more help with the depression, please if you have any ideas I would appreciate it, see my doc again next Monday.

Thanks

currently I take wellbutrin 450 XL, Prozac 10mg, and Risperdal .5mg. Before I started taking Prozac, I was on lexapro 30mg and it helped for a while (almost a year). It just eventually quit working, even after wellbutrin was added. I am on more anxiety meds than depression because my anxiety feeds into my depression.

No one on here can give you professional medical advice. You're much better off asking these questions to whoever prescribed the meds to you- & if they're unable to come up with another idea med-wise then it's probably time to find a new doctor.

For me, Risperdal has helped the most with PTSD symptoms, but I've never had any luck with antidepressants- including wellbutrin.

Thanks, I don't expect a prescription or any thing, some times I learn about medications I would have never heard of, then I can research them and have a more open discussion with my doctor.

For example I don't have medical insurance and I get my treatment through a grant I applied for. The welbutrin was not offered on the list of discounted medications and my doctor kept saying there was no generic, but I found out through talking there was.

I have never heard of Risperdal, so thanks, it just gives me another thing to look into.

I am on Pristiq 100mg AM with a low dose of buproprion. I am now, active and organised and can stick to a routine, but I still feel quite depressed.

Pristiq has a similar action to Effexor, but is slow release.
