Are you able to talk to other health care providers about your PTSD? (other than therapist and p-doc)

Hands up as someone else who avoids the drs like the plague.

I struggled a couple of years ago when I saw a chiropractor as the treatment triggered me like hell, but I laid there and silently cried with my face in the bench and didn’t say anything.

I did however finally manage to tell my dentist when I had to have a new root canal done, but have avoided them since.

Baby steps I guess.

Short answer. Barely.

Longer answer. I had a few bad experiences one awful. And a few okay (people admitting they don’t understand and would need to talk to my drs to better understand) maybe it was me explaining poorly sometimes too being triggered.
