I am not missing anyone specifically but in general, I am missing having a friend and lover in my life to share emotional and physical intimacy with. I have been alone for a very long time and it is starting to really bother me that I do not have romantic love in my life.

Still missing my mom. I guess that is going to be ongoing. It would be nice to have her here with my son graduating(or not) from high school. She promised she would be, that was a promise she couldn't keep.

I miss my very first girlfriend when I was 18. It was true love. We planned when we turned 19. We would move in with each other which we did. Then during the middle of summer I get a phone call telling me. They found my girlfriend murdered in a ally way when we lived in NYC. There was one witness to it. They saw it happened from there window and called the cops but they were too late. The witness gave a description of the two men who did it. They only caught one but the other got away. I wish I was there to protect her. To this day I miss her and she will always be in my heart.

II am missing my husband and the life we used to have together. We did gardening and totally landscaped our yard. We traveled all over the place and took the girls on trips even my daughter went with us one time. We had a little farm with a full garden of vegetables and I used to can them and bake bread without a recipe and so many other wonderful memories of us together. We even had horses and bred the mare and had two foals which was so much fun. I miss the hard work I used to do with him.

Sorry you are having a rough anniversary. I so understand the feeling of loss in your life.

I hope you are able to take such good care of yourself today.

@Britt.f7 More hugs and comforting thoughts coming your way!

My brother called last night. A year after our mother's death, in 2011, his health took a big decline. It was like everything that he had lived through, finally caught with him. Since we don't live in the same city, I was grateful for his church family which came together and he is now living in a retirement facility even though he is much younger than those around him.

It is hard for me to listen to him when he talks about his limitations now from having a stroke, etc. I'm sure he misses the person he used to be, as I do too.
