Sertaline is what helps me the most but the one thing which is awful is the song-stuck-in-the-head syndrome it always does to me. Since I absolutely know it works, though, I don't wish to fool around and test anything else.In your situation, maybe your doc could suggest something similar which hasn't been reported to have the nightmares as side-effects? That would definitely send me looking for something else, how disruptive for you! Having John Mayer stuck in my head at least isn't quite a nightmare, except that I don't at all care for this particular song. Oh well, it could be worse-like Brittany Spears.

I don't know why SSRI's seem to be so different in how people react to them. It must be something to do with how incredibly unique everyone's individual body chemistry is.

I'm on effexor xl 75mg. It helps alot. I'm functional with that dose. Without it I am totally hypervigilant to the point where I can't cope with even getting out of bed or making a simple decision.

It has helped me with sleep but when I go through a period of extra stress of doesn't do much for my sleep.

Is there anything out there that really deals with the anxiety and depression sides of things without sexual side effects or making anxiety/depression worse? That, to me, would be the wunder-drug.
