I've gotten huge on collaging in my art journal. It's really helping me express my feelings which has been impossible before.

Aw I didn't see this thread when I uploaded my images of the scale models :) I'll share them here in the future...

@any admin, feel free to remove the other thread I created... (the one I called Hobby Photographs...) I do not have the power!

Thanks for merging my post! :)
Nice @olred1978 , if you feel like sharing sometime I'd love to see it.

I usually don't spend a lot of money on these things so it was really cool that this friend just sent me two for free.

A dry brush from almost a year ago. Trying out a new method and of course I choose an eye. I've stopped doing dry brush for oil painting. Maybe I'll share one of those that isn't identifiable? Most of my subjects are human. Happy, small girls is what I like to paint. Ironic, yes?

@Nyssa, that is a great painting. Very unique use of primary colors but doesn't shout that they are. Awesome. Keep doing it!

@Barberian Wow! What a beautiful picture - I also take photos as a therapy.
@FindingMyself88 I love your collage work, so creative and expressive.
@Nyssa This is wonderful - such talent on the Forum!
@Nam What can I say? I am envious as i can't draw eyes very well. Just wonderful.

I'm looking for something I can post, something that isn't for sale and has no copyright on it... here's two. Both of these are done in Wax, the first is a Viking Ship (I still have to finish the sail), the second is a sunset I have done for my brother.

Thank you both :)

@Nam : my painting is actually a pastel, the choice of colors was limited and I wanted it to be quick and raw... I realized afterwards it was blue yellow and red.

Your eye is amazing Nam ! Such careful and realistic details, and yet the result is not cold at all

@CraftyCath, I had never heard (or seen for that matter) of wax painting before. I really like the texture of it !!

@Nyssa It's called encaustic wax art - I have sold a few so there are a lot I can't post here but these 2 are not for sale. The wax is melted and then applied and you get a different texture depending on what surface you use. It dates back to ancient Egypt! The colours are so vibrant but you can't be to accurate as it has a mind of its own.

Yay for art!
