I've included the precursor to the AFL season, called the NAB Cup, which starts mid Feb. The format used to be a knockout competition, though has now changed to: Under the current format, the first round sees the eighteen teams divided into six pools of three teams; each pool then plays a round robin of lightning matches on a single night. Each team then plays two full-length matches over the following two weekends, and the two teams with the best records over the four matches will play off in a Grand Final (the fourth round).

You can see the format at: Link Removed

So you have an idea of who's who in the zoo, the below is the 2012 final ladder of results to help you along with top teams, up and comers, and new teams typically located down the bottom (or just really shitty).

Hawthorn / Sydney played the final, and Sydney are the reigning premiers, winning the 2012 final.

The NAB Cup listings are now beginning to go live for betting. The NAB Cup is the AFL preseason rounds, as explained above.

Okay. I have placed a couple of bets on this. I must admit it was a suck and see approach. I've just looked at outcomes and I have won but have no idea how the match was scored.
