Does anyone suffer with autoimmune issues? I've been reading it may go hand in hand with trauma. I watched some TED Talks that were pretty impressive.
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos three years ago. It seemed to mimic mani-depression because my hormone levels were off the scale.

Yes I do, and it is very common, and I find it funny how my symptoms started after my big T. In fact I now have 3 autoimmune diagnosis. They don't tell you this but autoimmune disorder are almost always buy one get one free. You can never have just one. Although the don't always develop at the same time, so be watchful for the development of another.

I would be hard to convince that PTSD/trauma was a huge factor in my autoimmune disorders.

My first diagnosis was celiacs
2nd was Autoimmune anemia. Basically my white (supremacist) blood cells are waging an epic war against my red blood cells because they are prejudiced or some shit. Unfortunately, they win a lot of the time and then I have to get blood transfusions.
3rd and not official yet is R.A. but maybe something else... anyways my inflammation markers and AnA levels show I have a 3rd going on...

Fun times right?
