Its hard for me to follow frequently changing avatars so I try to follow names instead. My avatar is me. Its me several months ago before my dad died and I was happy and although I had problems I was a generally positive person. I'm NOT that person right now but I'm really working to get back to being that way.

It's funny....I can follow those with ever changing avatars better than the given forum ones. I guess it's because they're all different, whereas the forum standard ones are all the same so individuals details get mixed up in my mind!

And I wasn't necessarily referring to the new people. I understand that when you first join you don't necessarily think of getting an avatar. But......for those newer members who do jump on the individual avatar bandwagon, I most definitely remember their stories and details from the beginning. Like Pinkcake for example....she hasn't been here all that long, but she sticks out in my mind because I have a unique avatar to associate with her story. There are a few other newer members who are the same, whereas there are other older members whom I couldn't tell you anything about simply because my mind jumbles their stories up due to them having the same avatar.

Again, I didn't mean to offend anyone, rather I wanted to just say that the avatars do in fact make it easier for some of us to remember the things that other people say. I know not everyone stores info in their minds in the same way that I do, nor does everyone want a unique avatar.
