Hello, all. I just found this site, run by the Veterans Affairs department. I imagine very many of you may have seen it, but it is new to me, and I loved how they had several different tools to help manage all the key PTSD symptoms, so I thought I would share.

I like some of it, like the way the quick grounding tools are presented.

I'm not sure about some of the other things. For example to think about values you imagine your ideal party with lots of people. Party? Lots of people? Help - get me the grounding tools!!! I wonder how many people with PTSD would find that a helpful scenario to think about.
 
I thought it was funny that the first lifestyle change suggestion was to get to know more traumatized people. Ha! That's my life!

Hashi- despite having panic attacks frequently and often spending many hours every day crying... I host a lot of parties. I want to have people in my life because I abstractly know that is important (my kids need to know people who are less crazy than me) and the easiest way for me to control the situation is to host. So we have people over a lot. Sometimes we host large-ish events once a week.

I usually spend the day after hiding in a closet and shaking... but at the party everyone tells me how relaxed and calm I look! If only they knew that I feel like I am about to vomit on the floor. I'm just a good liar.
