Thanks Nicolette. I am trying to take care of me, but yes sometimes it is easy to forget about me. I did get out for a while today and have lunch with an old buddy from high school. I last saw him about a year after we graduated, so today was a great time to get caught up.....or at least a start! LOL! I also have made contact with the group I was working with to build trails in the forest above my house. Looks like we will get restarted next Saturday, so that will be fun to get out in the woods and do manual labor. That reminds me, I need to get busy and email the group of volunteers that have come out to help in the past and let them know about next weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, grab your shovels, and start your chainsaws! LOL!

So I guess that was a long winded way of saying I am still trying to get out with my friends and do activities that I find fun. I have also found a new therapist and will continue working on "my issues". My wife did ask me at breakfast today if I had found another therapist or not. I "think" she was worried that I would start backsliding without someone to talk to. Just my guess since I didn't ask, but I can't think of any other reason she would want to know.

Hey sickofit, maybe life would be easier if we just switched spouses! LOL! Just kidding.

Nah couldn't do that to you wife.LOL I can just imagine to PTSD sufferers living together would make for a quiet house.lol

I love my husband too much for that and you your wife. Ah one day we will be laughing at this.

Interesting day today. I stopped by the vet clinic and took my wife a latte and she said "thanks love". She hasn't called me "love" in over a year, so that was a surprise. She was in a good mood today, laughing and smiling. We ended up spending a couple of hours together today after she got off work and there was a lot of "we" in what she was saying today. So a good day for sure. Her back was bothering her a bit since she spent a couple of hours yesterday raking leaves at her place. She said she was calling the landlord and telling him he could do the rest because her back won't take any more. lol! I'll bet she does it too.

This evening I had to break up a fight between my dogs and a possum. Nasty creature and it can really do damage to a dog. Luckily I got the dogs back before anyone was seriously hurt. In the 8 years I've lived here that was the first possum I've seen on the property, but I know they are around.

Things are sounding good Jawn (except for the possum - don't like them either and we have one which travels around our fence line).

Good to hear all the positive things Jawn.

Hard as is for you, everything you have done is working out well for you both.

You have Possums, we have damn Starlings. They were recking my bird feeder everytime they descended, on mass too. Hope your dogs are OK after the fight.

Yes my dogs are OK after the fight. A few tufts of hair missing, but nothing serious. I can't say the same about the possum as he came at me when I was trying to get my blind dog away from him. Last night I let the dogs out about 11pm and all of a sudden I heard a lot of yipping. I thought maybe one was tangling with another possum or racoon, but it turned out to be some coyotes on the neighbors property. I sure went running to check on the dogs though, but they were just standing in the yard barking.

Thanks ladies for the encouragement. I'm trying and there is progress I just need to remind myself of that sometimes. I was at my wife's place briefly on Sunday and the wedding picture is still out in plain view, so that put a smile on my face too. :)

Oh I forgot to mention on Sunday when I spent time with my wife, we were at her place for a while and she asked me if I wanted a Diet Coke while I was there. She doesn't drink it, but had some in the fridge for when I come over. That also made me smile. Of course she later tells me that she took it out of the fridge at home when she was there taking care of the dogs. So now I know why my extra Diet Coke, toilet paper, and paper towels keep disappearing! ;)

Well my wife was at the house last night when I got home and before she left she told me my dinner and dessert were in the refrigerator. So I had homemade wiener wraps and the peanut butter chocolate pie she had made. Yum!

I also stopped at her work yesterday morning to drop off something and she came out to the parking lot to talk to me. While we were talking she reached out and buttoned up my coat. I guess I was making her cold with an open coat in the cold air. LOL! I also got a quick hug as I was leaving.

All in all, a pretty good day yesterday even if it was pouring rain all day.

Another pretty good day today. I took my wife another latte at the vet clinic today. It was almost closing time, so I offered to buy her lunch and she said no that she had other plans. Then she started telling me about visiting a friend yesterday that just had surgery for ovarian cancer. After telling me about her visit, she said "OK, let's get lunch". We had a nice lunch and she was asking me questions about sink strainers and faucets. Apparently she doesn't like the stuff in her rental and is going to replace them and tell the landlord he owes her. LOL! After lunch we went to the local hardware store and looked at stuff. I also reminded her that I still have our old faucet from the kitchen sink here. So she's going to look at it tomorrow to see if it will work for her.

I spent most of the morning working on my car. The factory fog lights have glass lenses and one was broken and the other cracked. I got lexan plastic replacements off ebay and spent the morning putting them in. They look great and won't break when a rock hits them. The hardest part of the whole job was prying the old glass lenses off. Definitely wear eye protection when doing that because glass did fly a few times.

Well seedling there was a time where she would have snuggled up to me and I would have buttoned it around her too! Hopefully that will return at some point! But, yeah, I plan on leaving it unbuttoned from now on! ;)
