Relationship Big Shock Tonight

I agree Amethist. It was hard to go car "looking" and not be able to buy anything.

My wife just called me and she is in the process of signing up for benefits for 2011 at her employer. She wanted to know if there was anything I thought we needed to change. i.e. Was I going to have any procedures that might require a higher level of benefits. I told her that I thought it was fine leaving it the same. She did suggest making a change on my plan, but my sign up period isn't for a while yet.

I do believe that is a good sign that she wants to keep me on her plan through next year and vice versa. Any one disagree?

I had a nice dinner with my wife last night. We met at a local pub and had a nice chat while eating. She called just before I left the house and told me to bring a cooler and an ice block because she had something for me. I guess there was a big sale on ice cream and she got me a 1/2 gallon of my favorite. Yum! I even got a quick hug from her as she was leaving.

I saw her briefly today when I took a dog into the vet (she works for the vet part-time). She had bought a bag of "diet" dog food and was going to bring it out to the house after work, but since I showed up it got moved to my vehicle. I also got a hug as I left today and was told "good luck car shopping, but remember you can't buy it until I see it and like it too". That made me laugh. That's code for "narrow it down to 1 or 2 choices and let me see those". LOL

Oh yeah, she was also very happy that I managed to sell our old motor home this weekend too. Yeah! Once less toy that we don't use and some extra money to apply to the bills!

Ugh! Car shopping sucks! Or maybe I should say that car salesmen just tweak me sometimes. I ended up in a yelling match with one salesman today. Basically after he insulted me and I told him I wouldn't buy a car from him and started to walk away he yelled "you were probably going to steal my car any way!" Well let's just say my cork popped big time. I turned to him and gave him a 1 finger wave and told him "F@#$ You! I'm driving a vehicle that is worth twice what you are asking on that car and you probably wanted all of that personal information so you could steal my identity or break into my house sometime!" He said something else as I turned to leave and I yelled over my shoulder to "Kiss my A@@!" Soooo, as you can see, I had a fun day today and didn't find a car. LOL! I don't blow a gasket too often, but this guy really got to me. Although if my wife had been there she would have told him off before I did, so he doesn't know how lucky he is! HA!

I'm Sorry But LOL!

:rofl:Sorry Jawn....this makes me crack up! GOOD FOR YOU in not being pushed around by an unethical salesman. With the economy there area so many deals available you'll find the right car, it's is out there. What are you looking for?

My Good Deed

Oh, I also got a big thank you from my wife today. I had stopped to show her some cars that I had printed off Craigslist and I was leaving just about the time she was supposed to close up the vet's office. Some guy came in with a couple minutes to spare before closing and started getting dog food....a lot of dog food and lots of different varieties. She tried to chat with him and he was very terse. Any way, I went outside and got in my truck. This guys car was beside my truck and when I looked into it, it did not have a passenger seat or a backseat. It kind of looked like maybe he lived in it? So I sat there for a few minutes and then I started to think "this is taking way too long", so I went back inside. After he left, my wife thanked me for coming back in because she thought the guy was creepy. So I guess that was my good deed for the day.

I'm looking for a mid-sized car that gets good gas mileage, so I've been looking at Honda Accord and Nissan Altima's. Today I also looked at some Chevy Malibu's and an Acura TL. Everything was either junk or out of my price range. Of course they all asked me my price range and then tried to sell me something above that range! LOL!

Typical. My hubby and I love Hondas. He now has a Buick Century (an old farts car we inherited from his mother) and we have been very happy with it. Kias are really good too. Inexpensive and well built.

Hmmmm, seems like this altercation with the salesman allowed you to let off some steam. Maybe I should try it. I'll pick out some random person and flip them off, probably and old lady so I don't get my ass kicked, LOL.

I recently bought a new car. I know the sales manager at the dealer so I hope I got a decent deal. I THINK I did, LOL. I do hate the whole process though.

ISH

I hope you did too ISH! My wife has always told me that when she wants me to get mad (at her or someone else) that I don't. I just let it go. Then someone does something like the salesman and my cork pops! Of course I have told her for years that she got mad at people for no reason. Of course I think I know why after her diagnosis. ;-)

I think I found a car last night. It's a used car that is in my price range and I am taking my wife to look at it later today. We will probably buy it, but I have to give the boss lady a chance to look at it first. And then she will probably want to be the one to drive it home! ha ha She told me in an email earlier this week that input on which car we buy was a 60/40 split. I am the 60% because I would drive it the most, but she still wants a say because she will drive it part of the time. She just wanted me to find 1 or 2 that I "want" to buy and then let her look at them.

Jawn

Oh, ISH I wouldn't flip off an old lady or some random stranger that sees you might jump in and kick your butt!

Worse yet, I work with seniors - those little old ladies are the worst- when they're angry they punch and they're only 4'8" tall...
:( !
