If you have Netflix watch The United States of Tara. Its a funny show about dissociation.
The United States of Tara is someone with Disassociative Identity Disorder which is a whole different psychiatric diagnosis. I have been watching episodes all day today wondering about this. Thank you for pointing this out. You can see the triggers and Tara's alter egos come out. What's interesting is that she has to rely on others to retrace her steps. It does show disassociation, but remember along with it comes with a spectrum. In Tara's case again, she goes into another identity. I deal with disassociation and trying to remember things at times is not easy. I have a new job coming up and am looking for someone to try to get into a relationship with. It's a balancing act because you have to limit stress but when the trigger comes out, it can compound onto more stress. Oddly enough, I become OCD almost at times and have to take a large amount of Klonopin to be able to refocus because my body freezes up or calm down. Can anyone relate to this?
