Bnp Paribas & Sony Open - Money For Nothing Tournament

If you want... but I won't know anything special. I am planning a multiple bet strategy per round... having several options available depending on who runs on time before another game starts, et cetera... but still, I could face plant game one, or round one.

If you're happy with that, go for it.

I plan on doing some calculations later tonight to curb my risk as much as possible... though with all the favourites held back until round 2, it would be too late to play them to make the required money.

I want to try and make as much ground as possible in rounds one and two, as that is often where the money is to be made... as the further rounds become much tougher to pick, therefor I would prefer to take the lesser risks in those rounds if possible, at lower odds, yet not worry about it because the reduced odds will hopefully get me across the line that way.

So many strategies... which will work and how much pure luck will play a part!!! :coffee: Going to need lots of coffee and a patient wife for the next week... then rinse and repeat for the Sony Open.[DOUBLEPOST=1362543383][/DOUBLEPOST]They've started to allocate some game times... I hate it that the bookies get all the data before the organisation even publish it online. This is why I go to them now, because they seem more reliable than the actual hosts websites.

There's a few matchups that seem very 'ify' to me, so I've gone with the underdogs a couple of times, trying to cash in a little more but you never know until you know. Round 2 should be more fun with the favorites clearly showing.

Also hoping the kids sleep in most morning so I have some time to research a little more during the later rounds.

Yer, noticed that myself. Bookies have some weird ways of coming up with their odds compared to the data publicly available. Some of it the matches really are just too close... much closer than odds make them to be. Then you have good players just have a bad match, and it only takes one bad match with an underdog having an average to fair day... and goodbye to them.

So many things... a boyfriend or girlfriend just had a fight on the phone with them the night before, or that morning... all sorts of shit you just can't factor.

I worked this much out though. You basically want to have a minimum of $600,000 before the quarter finals. You might scrape it on an underdog somewhere by having $500,000, but anything less and you aren't making that million mark. I would even want more by then. Especially as odds decrease typically at the quarters, semi's and finals. You aren't going to see 20, 30 or 40 cents on Novak until the finals, more than likely, if even then.

With Williams out of this one already, that leaves a solid hope that Azarenka will win here as the defending champ. Her and Novak are on huge winning streaks at present. Both are in unbelievable form.

I put mine on Zheng... right from the get go. If I make it past the risky first bet, then I can taper it back quicker to try and be safer.

What a thrilling competition this one is. Nothing to lose... yet so much fun in trying to keep the money alive to get the prize.

I'm really looking forward to the risk for reward one... getting that massive bet placed at the finals courtesy of the bank.

A little help for those not sure.

Tomorrows lineup is out, and from it you can ascertain a time frame in order to get 2-3 bets through the day, if things go right for who you want to choose. Otherwise, skip a period until you find who you want, then bet on them. Just remember, you really want to succeed early, because as the results narrow, so do the chances you pick an underdog versus go with the favourites to get you across the line.

First up you have:
# Espinoza - King
# Halep - Davis
# Zheng - Pervak
#Babos - Larsson

Now maybe they all finish on time, maybe they don't... you have to, unfortunately, wait for your winner to be settled before you can re-bet on your next. I will try and be on the job... and if I am, the next batch up immediately is:

# Kuznetsova - Hiavackova
# Craybas - Burdette
# Mladenovice - Scheepers
# Minells - Govortsova

Take a look at them, and if you find one you like, or two, then keep them in mind and hope they finish after your first bet.

I will try to keep games open as close as possible to starting... keep watch, as I will reopen and adjust times if possible.

One that sits by itself, if you miss the second batch, is:

# Vecino - Karatantchova which will start around 2pm California time.

After all of these, you have the afternoon / early evening games which you can get into to. You should be able to definitely get one in the morning session, one in the afternoon, for each day, without issue.

I thought we couldn't spread it out. Had to be a single lump sum.

And then if you lose once you're out of the running right?

KP, it hasn't begun yet. Use $50k from your $$$ to place a single bet in round 1, otherwise I will remove it from your $$$ anyway. What you've bet and spread, is your own money, your own mistake... because you haven't yet bet the single amount as per the rules, which has been paid to you.

Just hope your two big bets pay-off I guess.

May as well bet it, considering you will otherwise lose it.

Please read the rules and how to do it. It must all remain as a lump sum, including winnings, must all be bet a minimum of once per round, and must make a million by end to keep it. Oh... and declare it each time you bet it as the money for nothing bet.

You cannot add to it (other than its own winnings), you cannot subtract from it or spread it, split it, etc, na da.

You are still in, as that is round one. She is playing tomorrow I think. Just read the terms, there is a simple explanation posted... it all stays together + winnings as a single bet ongoing. Don't add or subtract from, other than adding the winning amount each time to place the next bet. Comment on the bet that it is your money for nothing bet in the round for tracking purposes.
