My Anne Frank book arrived this morning. Good timing as H was at work:rolleyes:. So I'm set for May and June.

Still don't have the Stig Larsen series though. I'll think on whether to nag my friend or buy them myself which would be less hassle.

Yep, just finishing up my current book, Abundance: The Future is Better than you Think. A really eye opening read to what even I thought were growing issues, and learning what is being done, what has been done and what and when things will become different to affect specific issues of global population and hunger, etc.

The future actually is quite promising. Here I was thinking about global population being an issue, though statistically global population is actually decreasing, not increasing like I thought or was made to believe via media.

For anyone who wants to know what it is about, watch the video on the homepage at: http://www.abundancethebook.com

Which is all based on the X-Prize Foundation

Oh must say, I've got a good reading assortment at the moment. Stieg Larson series, Anne Frank starts next week, I have the Fifty Shades series here ready to go, Beautiful Disaster is here and ready to read and then I want to get the entire Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn, as I loved Kill Shot and could read them daily.

Wow that sounds like a lot to choose from.

Have you tried using a kindle?

I always swore I wasn't getting one as I am a bit of a page stroker when I read!

Generaly my living room is littered with books as I will often be reading several at once.

The hubs bought a kindle for my birthday last month and now......anyone tries to take it....I will drop kick them.

I have a feeling I may get one for my birthday in August. My elder daughter especially has raised the subject with me, asking if I would like one. I love books, but I can see the advantages. Not having to take 6 books on holiday with me is one. Also, I do community car journeys, ferrying folk to and from various appointments and a kindle would be lighter than taking a book with me.

I would like something with which I can access the internet with, although at the moment, we only have kindle money:rolleyes:.

KP, I really like mine. One of the things I like about it is, I can plug in headphones and listen to music as I read, or I can listen to an audio book while I surf the net (Okay - Pinterest. I'm hooked on Pinterest!). Hubby and I took it on a trip with us, and were able to listen to an audio book on it together. LOVE. The ONLY thing I've found that I wish I could do on it and can't, is answer posts and messages on this forum. I can read, but not post. :(

I already have Kindle on my iPad, and you can dull the screen and so forth to make it easy to read, and I have tried using it. I also did read on a kindle in the shop to try it out directly, but just didn't take to it.

I like the book. I finished the first book, and was talking to our cleaner who's travelling soon, and she wanted to read the series, so I gave it to her to read. Can't do that with a kindle... that is the limiting factor, that you cannot share a book unless you physically hand over your entire kindle, which means you can't read either.

I think I will always prefer a book. It is a good point about handing a book over. My girls and I do that all of the time and I've loaned The Alchemist to a colleague.

If/when I'm given a kindle, I can almost see me (as I do now) sometimes having a couple of books on the go at once. A book at home and something on the kindle which I can read whilst waiting at hospital appointments etc. Also as I said, for holiday reading, it would stop H complaining about having to drag a suitcase of books around.
