General Booked A Camping Trip Tonight

Hubby has been saying he wants to go away somewhere for a few days break, and that we need the change. So tonight I booked a camp site for 5 nights, at the east coast.

It is only 70 miles away, but very close to a Bempton Cliffs, an RSPB bird reserve and over 200,000 sea birds nest there every year. It will be heaving and we will be able to watch the nests via CCTV's that they have set up in the reserve center.

We can also drive to the next couple of seaside towns on some of the days we are there.

It will still be quiet when we go in 2 weeks time, as the kids will still be in school, so not many noisy families will be there.

We will love it, the beaches, the sea, and the chance to recharge our batteries.

First proper holiday in 5 years, even though it is only for the 5 nights.

Amethist have a wonderful time, I am so happy for you both. It is always so good to get away. It is the spice of life. I am jeoulous in a good way. I will figure out a way for us to get out of here. I say good for you.:cool: you will be missed. Your vacation is long overdue. I hope you both enjoy yourselves thoughorly.

Hubby is so eager to go on this camping trip that :-

The tent is out of the loft.
The light has been checked and new batteries put in.
The radio, same as light.
I have had to get a box ready to put the tinned food we will be taking in.
The box we keep things in like camping stove cups plates etc. has been checked and put with tent.
The folding chairs have been checked and wiped down.
Cool box has been washed and ice packs put in freezer.
The car is full of Petrol.

We dont go for another 12 day, but you would think we are going tomorrow. :rolleyes:
