Broken to Unbreakable PTSD Recovery

I watched it and signed up for the class. It is impossible to keep up with the pace of the program. They promise your money back within 2 weeks, but when I asked for it, now I have to "qualify" and they will review my work. These people are NOT medical professionals. They have NO certifications at all. I suspect they have a military background, but their whole system is based on an internet money making program. they are not interested in your health and well being at all. I am sure it helps and works for some people. for those that it does not work for, it is a complete waste of money. Stay away, if you ask me.

If anyone knows who I can report them to in the medical community, please let me know. I have no doubt they have taken alot of people's money and never give any back. People probably just give up and move on, because they make it so hard to get the money back, even though they use that promise to get you to sign up. Unethical and dangerous for people really suffering from PTSD.

STAY AWAY!
if they are an american based and you're in the states contact your attorney general of your state as well as your representatives Especially if any of your reps have served in the military they will want to know and try to do something about this as it's a type of consumer health/med fraud. (in my opinion) You call the phone numbers for your attorney general and your reps phone numbers. Interns will probably take the information but it is looked at. and Follow up.

I have found their program to be very beneficial in improving my ability to deal with PTSD, she has experienced it herself, insight is helpful when looking for someone to help coach you in ways to overcome PTSD, I have no regrets at all, I’ve learned a lot of beneficial tools to help me

So sorry you are finding it difficult to get them to abide by their money-back offer. Sounds just like many other internet programs I've been warned about.
As a mental health RN, I'm interested in ANY program that could potentially help my patients. What did you think of their workbook? Any value or just a rehash of what's previously published? I might look for a copy of the workbook on Ebay if there's any quality content. (Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you want to talk about the materials)

One book I've recommended to a few of my higher-functioning pts is "The Body Keeps the Score" by van der Kolk. He's an MD who works with military vets through Massachusetts general & the VA & has some powerful findings, along with recommendations for multi-mode therapy. It's not written for lower-functioning pt's so I don't recommend it to everyone, still looking for a great resource for those pt's.

It's straight up BS. Sickens me because people really are truly suffering and commiting suicide. I wonder if she truly had PTSD. It was too perfect. No emotion.

Anyone selling a miracle method to PTSD / CPTSD, is immediately discredited by doing so. The range and spectrum of severity and treatment application, per person, is unique. There is no single method, nor course, nor program, that will take you from crap to all OK in a specific time frame.

There is no secret to recovery. Everything you want is already here, and all over the web. Its called education about the illness, hard self work in treating yourself, whether self help or with therapy. Either way, you have to learn, understand, wrap your head around issue by issue, then do the hard work. The hard work is everything from understanding, to applying a range of changes in your life, pushing yourself, and suffering heightened symptoms as a result of all of this.

Looking at this program discussed here - I would say its a con. Just another person/s trying to monetize vulnerable people.

Give your money to a good trauma therapist that is willing to push you hard. You also have to be able to cope with worse symptoms. If you can't do those two things, if you aren't ready to, then all is a waste of money at this time in your life. If you can't afford therapy, afford the right books, one at a time, and do them. Same outcome can be achieved from books written by the actual experts.

Honestly, those two should be reported in their respective country for practicing health services, if they are not qualified to do so.

She was a life coach for two years and then launched her 6 week workbook based program for the low, low price of $2,000 claiming permanent cures for all, no regard even for the fact that there can be other factors in recovery, no outside person validating the cure rate, and no publication on sites where patients can review and report they were not cured.

She claims the tools she uses have cured over a million people worldwide. Either she’s magical or she is using something that is common. Not magical.

You can get a sense of the tools she uses on her YouTube vlog channel, PTSD TV, where her husband and her interview each other for curing themselves both of PTSD.
The whole “play hurt” idea comes from sports and is just the idea to not avoid pain. Expose yourself to your triggers. And avoidance will decrease. Well established psych concept.

It’s all exposure therapy and CBT. Dressed up with motivational speaking and life coaching. And a husband and wife interviewing each other.

I’d skip her hype and go grab some workbooks for $40 off your favorite online bookseller, google some great Ted Talk motivational speakers for free (and there are some good ones), and jump in for awhile.

Then re-consider if you want to do her life coaching workbooks. If you do them, expect the same kind of outcomes as anyone with a motivational speaker, life coaching, and workbooks from someone wirh no verifiable track record.
@Justmehere what workbooks would you suggest please? Any particular speakers stand out from ted? Many thanks

I used The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook by Matthew McKay PhD, Jeffrey C. Wood PsyD, and Jeffrey Brantley MD. That was really helpful for my dissociation. I also used The Complex PTSD Workbook: A Mind-Body Approach to Regaining Emotional Control and Becoming Whole by Arielle Schwartz PhD. I hope this helps.

I wasted nearly 2 and a half hours watching that webinar! She has no credentials, she claims to heal people but all she's done is read books!
