Bullying Incident? Help Needed Immediately

Welcome Kev, I'm glad you have found this forum and you are finding some answers here. I believe what Bloom suggests, not being a professional either, I can relate to that intense reaction as a an intense trigger touching off a "firestorm" from the past. Medications seemed the right thing at the time and maybe they were for me, and the frustrations I felt from not feelings like I was being "heard" was enough to have me almost give up several times until I found my current tdoc, who is a trauma specialist.

I hope you continue to share here and keep looking for answers.

Hi Kev,

Beware the "perfect therapist" idea that prevents one from trying any....many are compassionate, 'good enough' T.s who will refer you if need be.

Mine is a straight CBT, but I have no doubt that he cares and that he does try to get the information he needs to 'meet me where I am at'.

With all the traumatized people n the world, there's simply not enough fully qualified trauma docs out there. But a good, compassionate, well-informed person can do wonders.

Also, I am asking personally that you please refrain from 'hitting on' members of the forum. This is a support group, not an online dating service. That behavior does have it's place...but that is not what we're here for. Thanks for your understanding.
 
Welcome to the forum :)

Speaking to a professional and telling them how you feel is a must. Have you tried finding a positive way to let out your energy? I find martial arts such as boxing, judo or karate combined with yoga and deep meditation is a great way to let the energy out and to get it under control.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea but I am way too destroyed socially to be comfortable or have neone be comfortable with me in that environment.

Do you do it at home?

There is some very good advice above.

Being bullied is awful, I have never known anything else. my T said it is like one thing happens and before you can process that trauma another thing happens. Then you have a new trauma to process and another trauma happens so the last two don't get processed. So it just piles up and then other things trigger you and you don't remember what the trauma is or how old you were or even that it WAS a trauma. It's no wonder we get triggered.

I believe that fear is often behind anger. For ourselves and the bully.

I hope you find your answers soon and when the memories come back you will have support here.

P.S. As an X Nurse, anatomically. small hands do not mean a small penis. My husband has small hands, he isn't small anywhere else! Just as people think that if a women has small feet she will have difficulty giving birth. Not true. I have tiny feet (size 3) and I had 2 normal deliveries of 2 big healthy baby boys (7lb 14oz & 8lb 6oz). I think your bully probably thinks he is small and is worried someone might notice. It is common with bullies that they turn their own fears on their victims in the hope that it takes the spotlight off them. Hope this helps.

Yes all in all it was just a cheap shot done by a desperate bully. He had a hard time getting to me so he really thought hard about and took the time to think before delivering this blow. and its not the humilation that bothers me, its the fact that it changed how i react to people NOW and the fact that people can feel me getting scared I guess. mainly just me being scared that they will know im scared and it kinda cycles that way. It's a strange problem and a lot of physical issues have follow it as well.

I do all my excercises at home now. I was in a club for 4 years but now I do it at home.
