Can I Ever Go Back To My Normal Life?

Nabii...there is a thread on here about the connection between seizure activity and PTSD. That thread might be helpful. I will look for it again to see if I can post the link.

I have researched this myself. There are PNES (psychogenic non-epileptic seizures) that are absolutely PTSD induced. One study I found showed vets getting misdiagnosed because it's not commonly understood, but PTSD on its own isn't commonly understood, either.

I have been dealing with undiagnosed PTSD for 27 years. Well, 26 years, since it was finally correctly diagnosed by the VA last year. The point of what I'm going to say is this: I can't predict what your outcome is going to be, but in my case, I have had to come to terms with the very real fact that I will never return to what was normal before the trauma event that triggered off the panic attacks at the beginning of this very long journey. I have had to accept that what's normal for me now is a very different version of normal, but it's normal for me now. That has liberated me from fighting against the panic attacks and hating them (and ultimately myself, because they are just my body responding in "normal" ways to abnormal experiences).

So that is my contribution to your question. Good luck with your journey. Blessings :)
