I have had an appointment set up with my psych nurse for months. It was to be on the 17th. Now they changed it to have me see another provider. I so hate these kinds of changes! Continuity in my life is such a blessing when I have it.

Did they give you any reasons for the change of provider? I'm sorry you're being messed about. Do you go back to your regular nurse after this appointment or is it a permanent thing?

I think I will go back to my regular nurse, but no promises were made. I have been with this provider once while in the hospital, some years ago, and she got kind of pushy with me about my job, saying that I was an under achiever. I stood my ground then and I will stand it now if I need to. I love my job! And my clients love me. So what if I am not rich like she is. Being rich has never been one of my goals.

I certainly know what it's like to work with a mental health professional that I liked, only to be set up with someone new.

The thing is, I've always been seeing psychiatric NPs and psychiatrists at community mental health centers as well as community health centers. And places like that tend to have a high turnover rate.
