I dared to express my 1st amendment rights. Forty-plus years ago, I raised my right hand and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. To my knowledge, no one has relieved me of that oath.

That is a professional aspect we'd need. I nearly wrote that a second American Revolution might involve a flip of participants. But on second thoughts, just do it all over again for exactly the same reasons and endeavours, and you'd have a lot of dissaffected Brits in the ranks....

Hate to say it but they'll never be another 'revolution' in this country. Americans are way too complacent. If and when gas gets to 7 or 8 bucks a gallon it won't matter, people will still bitch and drive like manics.

As far as the constitution goes; it was written over 200 years ago by rich landowners to their benefit. The 'average' joe lived in dirt. Just like today. Not much has really changed.

I'm not right, left or middle; I look at the issue and then decide. That's part of the problem today; particanism. I know one thing though, I shot a lot of the wrong people. Sorry, politics makes me even more crazy than I already am.

Perhaps we could somehow orchestrate a conquest of both sides of the Atlantic by the Canadians. They still seem pretty sensible.

You're right, Jar. Couple of years ago, in California (and I was out in the sticks, not La-La Land) I looked around and thought - 'and this country opened up the Wild West less than 200 years ago?'.
And in the UK, walk down a high street and try convincing yourself that we carved out the biggest Empire the world ever saw, beat Napoleon, and stood alone against Hitler for two years.
I think we are all agreed here, less politics, more heart.

Sensible? We allow a Political Party whose only stated goal is the abolusion of the Dominion to hold Federal Office. Hell, our Tax Dollars even pay their wages.

We can do this very easily. Just send all the Tax money to Canada and you sort us out that way. We'll probably have flying car super skyways. Supersonic bullet trains and Moon vacations in no time. Abolish all American television and replace it with Canadian. Keep the British. Institutionalize nightly watching of the Red Green Show and Kids in the Hall. Forced drinking of Molsens at every meal. And 24 four hour broadcasts of the National anthem until every citizen learns it beyond "Oh Canada".

That would be much better.
