I just think (personally) everyone's situation is depicted somewhere (lovingly) in the Bible. Eg unwed young mom, refugee, etc . Etc.

I thought of this Bible verse, when I read your thoughts above.

"Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God."
(1 John 4:7New Living Translation of the Bible)

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Mathew 7:1-3 New King James Version of the Bible

I was reading the story of Abraham and Isaac in the Old Testament today and I was impressed by the fact that the male sheep (called a ram) matches up with how Jesus is described in the Book of Revelation as The Lamb of God. I love the Old Testament with all its stories. Reading it I just get into it so deeply that something like anxiety falls by the wayside and goes away altogether.

From the apostle Paul: "I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content -- whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:11-13)

I have had an extremely confusing day yesterday. It was one of those days I'd sooner forget than remember. I felt like I didn't know if I were coming or going. So I looked up confusion in my concordance and found this verse. It sure comes close to describing how I felt:

Acts 19:32 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there."

If one uses money wisely, caring for others and donating to worthy causes, it certainly is not a sin to be wealthy. However, when one uses money for the harm and detriment others, that for sure is a sin. Selling illegal drugs would be an example of this.

1 Timothy 6:9-11New Living Translation (NLT)

9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Paul’s Final Instructions
11 But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

i am a christian and at my church we have small groups that study the bible but then talk and pray about personal stuff. It is a great way to learn and knowing that as part of this group I can share and completely trust that what i say will not leave that small group. If it was not for my faith i would not have been able to get through my ordeal.
I actually lost my job due to my PTSD. There was a person that teased me openly about going to the PTSD clinic at the hospital we both worked at. I would complain but it just continued until I was fired and she was given a promotion. I have an attorney and was just wandering if anyone out there has ever been in a similar situation. Thank you!

Relate 3turff... and we also have times like the Quakers in ours where we can stand up and pray if we are moved to during worship services... very humbling and beneficial... one of the best parts of being back to worship services. I just went back last Sunday though stayed in membership other ways to corporeal worship due to having a client scheduled for over 2 and a half years on Sunday during service (very small church, about 125-145 people).

About your question @3turff I'd recommend putting it either into an introduction thread or a PTSD thread? Welcome and glad you're here.
