Hi All... In the course of picking up a discarded plastic glove (food safety) I wound up slicing my head (the equivalence of a paper cut on my head! by a stainless steel hand washing sink! :( I am wondering if my spacial or maybe peripheral vision is affected by my PTSD or if I do indeed need glasses...

Anyway. I am glad this wasn't reported to workman's comp, even though having gone that route would have possibly given me an out despite a possible drug test.

Following up with this, I got a letter from Workman's Compensation. I don't know if this will to a degree change things for me with Social Security or not, but it will definitely be something I am going to explore along with the rest of the health/medical stuff including leave from work to go deal with this.

I feel like I have a deck stacked against me, yet I am playing a clean game while the dealer is playing a crooked game! :(

Between the seizure last year (December) and this accident which occurred on 6/20/2014, I am wondering if my ptsd is at the root of these two situations. The seizure may be mistreated and I have been in medication compliance for the most part, as well as having possible side effects of this medication.

With the fact that my employer is self-insured, I am not sure if I can or can't possibly use the PTSD as a viable reason for this incident....

I'm not sure about PTSD affecting your vision, I suppose it might be able to.....but, perhaps an eye exam is in order.

My vision has been called into question before I started working in the deli. It seems to be this may be an issue with either the dissociation identity disorder or it may be something else.

My issue with medical is that I have insurance which is a good thing! The downside is, deductibles and the 20% percent I am to pay out of pocket. A contribution I make weekly does go into a Health Savings Account. The issue is that It's not enough to completely cover what I have in medical costs.

My option here is one I am slowly fighting myself over which is state benefits... I may qualify, but yet because of my SGA monthly amount is over $1070, a month (I don't qualify on the federal level) In terms of the state, they are making a decision...
