Combat Ptsd Forum Is Veterans Only - Not Supporters

This is a notice here for all members, so people don't recommend that supporters register at the combat PTSD forum, as that forum has just been reclassified back to its original status, being a veteran only community. Supporters, being spouses, family and friends of veterans with PTSD can obtain support here, as this supporters section is the desired place for such support, and not mixed with the veteran themselves.

This is why my original decision was that that community was veteran only, and after feeling pressured to have spouses upon it, it has backfired and caused the exact issues I was hoping to avoid.

There is a reason why most females here with PTSD haven't gotten on well with veterans who are part of this community, because it really is its own lifestyle, language, etc. When your having an emotional breakdown, a veterans response will likely be, get over it... toughen up, etc. The same goes for a veteran, they need to hear specific responses to comprehend, not a novel of emotional feelings which works here.

So please DO NOT redirect supporters to the combat website from here any more, as this is the correct website for them. Veterans with PTSD, yes...

No...

That doesn't hinder veteran supporters from participating within the already present supporter forums. Veteran supporters are not getting their own area, the existing content will merely be integrated into the current supporter forums... that's all that will entail.
