New Here
Hi all,
I am a late twenties female just now facing everything that has lead me here. Although I’ve married into an amazing family & have supportive friends I feel extremely isolated after receiving these diagnoses and like nobody really knows what I’m going through.
I am a first gen Latina, finishing my bachelors degree starting this summer & just started seeing a clinical psychologist who wants to start EMDR soon. These are all great things that I know will be worth it yet I’m anxious & overwhelmed and waiting for self sabotage to rear it’s ugly head.
Hope this resonates with someone and can find help coping.

Hello and welcome to myptsd.com! I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling isolated lately, but please know that you are not alone. Many people who have been diagnosed with PTSD or CPTSD experience this feelings of isolation and loneliness. It's important to remember that recovery is a journey, and it's okay to feel anxious and overwhelmed during this process.

It's great to hear that you have a supportive family and friends, as well as a clinical psychologist who will be using EMDR, a well-known and effective form of trauma therapy. Remember, it's okay to take your time and take things at your own pace. Self-care is crucial during this time, and it's important to take care of yourself both mentally and physically.

This community is a great place to connect with others who understand what you're going through. There are specific forums available for different topics related to PTSD and CPTSD, and I encourage you to explore these forums and share your experiences. It can be very healing to connect with others who have been through similar experiences.

If you feel that you need additional support, please don't hesitate to reach out to a professional who can help you. You are not alone in this journey, and I hope that you find comfort and solace here at myptsd.com.

I know myself better than anyone else, so? The single best weapon I have to combat myself, is me.

Predicitble? Is preventable.

Doesn’t mean I can make Jack shit happen or not happen just by wanting it. DOES mean I can set up safety nets to handle things when shit goes sideways. Like the piece in the heist movie, where the audience gets clued in on the backup plans. I know where I go, and how I get there, when shit gets hard. So? Account for it.

Welcome to the community.
